Greenhouse offers an RCL 12
rated facility for adolescent boys.
The program offers a safe, structured,
productive living environment where
each resident can work towards their
individual goals. Greenhouse utilizes
a proven behavioral model in which
privileges are earned through appropriate
behavior and residents are rewarded
with positive staff attention
for program progress. This “no hands
on” approach utilizes planned ignoring
and neutral staff response to undesirable
and negative behaviors.
Constructive and appropriate
use of leisure time is also a major focus.
The highly trained staff of
Greenhouse strives to find activities
which replace patterns of unhealthy
choices our residents may have made
in the past. In addition to regular
weekly activities, Greenhouse offers
a Music Program, Sports Program
and Social Skills Training.
The Greenhouse Wilderness
Program gives our residents the opportunity
to take trips with their peers
and staff members to hike, ski, camp,
fish, sail, in some of the most wonderful
areas in California. These
trips serve to bolster self-esteem and
foster interest in new leisure activities.
